Created by Board Game Developer, Klaus Teuber, and first launched in 1995 as The Settlers of CATAN, this iconic line (since shortened to CATAN) can be credited with the launch of a new era in board gaming.

CATAN was arguably the point of origin for innovative board game mechanics like resource collection and management, trading, involvement during other players’ turns, and no player elimination. Largely responsible for lighting the spark of board gaming potential, to this day CATAN remains a great way to introduce new players to the hobby, with its easy-to-learn rules and simple yet strategic game play.

Embark on a quest to settle the isle of Catan. During the game, the goal is to guide settlers to victory by clever trading and cunning development. Using resource combinations, buy handy development cards and build roads, settlements, and cities. You may acquire resources through trades, cards, or lucky dice. But beware!
