Hot Streak is a game about betting and racing and SCREAMING!!!!!!!

You’re all hard luck gamblers betting on the world’s most off-brand mascots. And unlike most racing games, the races never stops for you to make any decisions. All your sneaky strategizing is done beforehand, so everyone can just sit back, cheer, boo, and scream at a hot dog man.

At the start of the game, prepare the deck of cards with one card for each mascot and a random number of cards depending on the number of players. Reveal these cards to all players, after which players choose a betting ticket from those displayed, then choose a second bet in reverse order.

For each bet, you can play it safe or take a risk, which can earn you more, but also cost you money if you lose. After betting, each player chooses one of the three cards in their hand to secretly add to the race card deck.

Shuffle the deck, burn three cards, then reveal the cards one by one, moving the mascots along the track. They may sometimes veer off to another lane and knock over another runner, sometimes turn around, sometimes move all at once, and sometimes just back up!

If a racer leaves the track or is knocked over while already down, they are disqualified. If necessary, shuffle all the cards in the deck, burn three cards again, and continue the race until all four podium places are filled. Pay out the bets based on these results.

For races #2 and #3, first deal each player one card at random from the deck, then place the bets again, then ask each player to contribute one card from their hand to the deck. After race #3, everyone counts their money.
